And the Heat Goes on…

Well, I never wanted to be right, but…

By the way, just to make the situation clearer, and you probably know this already, Bush has received a great dealing of funding from climate criminals Esso. Esso have also sunk a great deal of money into a number of 'experts' who are trying to confuse the issue with misinformation about global warming. Think about the way the cigarette companies tried for so long to deny the link between smoking and cancer. That, as Sir John Lawton points out, is the situation we have now with the oil companies and global warming.

  1. HI Quentin,I can finally post 🙂 yeppie. Most of the reasoning behind global warming is the deforrestations of the jungles and also the chemicals used in certain products like aersols and also CAR EXHAUST.. I am sure the latter is the main reason.Bush can’t be blamed for this one and I am not a supporter of his administration that’s for sure.Hybrids should have been allowed years ago however, all governments were against them due to the oil companies paying them off. 2. Hello Eve. Thanks for posting.I do actually think that Bush can be blamed for this one. Of course, he is not the only person responsible, but I think he represents one of the major obstacles to an ecologically stable future, and here’s a link which gives, in brief, some of the reasons why.Yes, it seems like the oil companies have had protectionist policies for a long time. I was going to add ‘protectionist for them, not for anyone else’, but, of course, their policies are very short-sighted. The age of oil is ending, and unless they recognise that, they are going to collapse with it.

  3. Well, I don’t blame him specificallly for causing it in the first place. We’re all guilty of that. But he is a powerful figure on the wrong side of the ecological struggle.Of course, there is then the debate about how much Bush is someone who wields power and how much he is the puppet of other powers. Either way, he represents powers who are doing their best to make sure the problems of climate change go unsolved.

  4. HI Quentin,I do understand your point of view however, I don’t see how 1 man EVEN BUSH can be blamed for global warming.???It’s been coming for generations and all of us are to blame not just 1 man even if it is BUSH LOLBush can be blamed for many things and even things to come I do agree on this point.Miss youEve

  5. He also has alot of OIL rigs to think about and land in Texas. Infact, he shot down a bill to protect certain lands due to the wildlife there and that was because of the logging industry they need the timber not the wildlife.See the republicans only think of the money and the now, and yet, they are the first to complain when things start falling apart.. I just tell them.. HEY YOU PUT HIM IN NOW LIVE WITH IT !A*holes what can I say?Eve
