I’m the Daddy Now!

I'm tired of being modest and watching mediocre posers prosper. Here's what I'd like to do to the publishing industry:

Actually, that's pretty much what it's like. I know the feeling at the end. Having to take it and not retaliate.

  1. That’s an interesting article. One of my pet hates in films is casual violence, as in, spray-of-lead type violence. I’d rather it was a gore-fest, which takes it into a different realm, or that it had some kind of gritty, painful aspect to it.The film Fight Club, which I enjoyed, has an interesting sequence, in which the members of the club try to start fights with strangers. In this sequence, as the article suggests, it’s actually very difficult to start a physical fight with someone. Although I like the film Fight Club, however, there was one aspect of it that annoyed me. The film appears to be an exhortation to throw off certain chains of fear that have been laid upon us, but I suspect the creators of the film have not done so themselves. Most of the fight scenes, unlike those in the sequence mentioned, are deeply unrealistic, showing men walking away from the kind of punishment that would probably have given them permanent and severe brain-damage or even killed them. It was this inner contradiction in the film that bothered me.
