There's a difference between being an elitist pedant and believing that a certain standard of literacy is important just in order for people to think and communicate clearly. The above shows what happens when people believe that it doesn't matter. Does anyone actually understand what's written above? No. It's gibberish. And here's another:

  1. Peter A Leonard writes:

Ahhhh, remember “A Christmas Carol”? The Ghost of Christams Present? What was it he suggested?Oh, yes, his two children were “Ignorance” and “Want”. He gave the grim warning that ignorance was particularly harmful.Yeah, harmful to the point of destruction.Sure, if we want destruction we must all embrace ignorance. Buy a copy of the Sun tomorrow, perhaps?Read the Sun, transform ignorance into a religion?Ignorance is easy. Ignorance never goes away.Like the sound of the sea pounding on a pebble beach. Ignorance is as colourless, as the predawn morning, bled grey of all understanding. There’s no escaping it! So accept it.:jester:

  2. I should just accept it, you’re right. Or should I say, ‘your write’? I suppose I’m just perverse like that. Or perverted, or something. I love this:shes old and shud just retire graciously!!!! Whoever it was obviously meant ‘gracefully’. ‘Graciously’ makes it sound as if she’s doing us all a favour by retiring. The person’s talking about Madonna. So, er, actually it’s probably better this way.
