I’m fairly sure there will be a major counter-cultural movement of some sort soon; something like hippiedom, but more destructive. I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently. I mean, unemployment and urban decay are as bad as they were at the height of Punk (if not worse), yet everything seems strangely serene. The calm before the storm, perhaps.
When people feel they have nothing left to lose they become difficult to control. I agree that this must happen soon.
