Nothing much to lose

It occurs to me that if I were today die, some people would say:

"It was sad, man, he wasted his life. He could have done so much more."

I can hear a voice saying this, and I laugh to myself.

So much more of what, and for whom?

This world is not worth it.

  1. It’s a good one.I admire in poetry what often bores me in prose – economy and simplicity. That’s far too general a statement to stand up for very long under examination, but I certainly admire the simplicity of this poem.
