It's probably a bit mean-spirited of me, but I really can't stand these kind of literal videos, where, when the lyrics mentions a wallaby, there's a picture of a wallaby, etc. My plea to YouTube people everywhere: Please, please, please don't make literal song videos like this. It ruins the songs. Ruins them. Also, please don't use those kind of air-brushed 'artworks', such as appear in this video at 1.05. I expect I would have been very impressed by this kind of art when I was twelve, and thought that Boris Vallejo was some kind of master, but I was wrong.
Anyway, I wanted to post this song, but I didn't want to post the video. If you can tolerate the stream of literalism in this video then you're a better person than I. Perhaps. I prefer to close my eyes and listen. Which is what I intend to do now.
i agree with you. i can’t stand that either. it’s like the advertising art i call conglomerate… throwing all kinds of images found in the book or the movie onto one page. it is such lame art directing.pictures of the singer would be o.k. with me. she’s kinda cute. :up:
Yes, a montage of pictures of Lene would be infinitely preferable. Or just one picture. The fact that there are some rescues this video to a slight degree.
