Previously, with Windows, you were able to decide exactly how many seconds it would take for one picture to be replaced by another on the screensaver.
Now you have a choice between fast, medium and slow. Slow, of course, is not very slow, because no one today is capable of conceiving of the idea that anyone might want to linger for more than about three seconds over anything.
No need for the effort to make any choice of your own. It's all made for you.
